A Brief Overview of What ADHD Assessment and Diagnosis Is
ADHD assessments are clinical evaluations that help determine whether an individual meets the diagnostic criteria for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder — a common neurodevelopmental condition that affects focus, memory, organization, emotional regulation, and impulse control.
At Allure Medical Aesthetics, our ADHD assessments involve a multi-step process, including detailed intake questionnaires, psychological screening tools, and a one-on-one consultation with a qualified medical provider. The goal is to understand your experiences across different areas of your life — school, work, relationships, and home — and to assess whether ADHD is contributing to your challenges.
This evaluation not only provides a formal diagnosis (if applicable), but also supports access to personalized treatment options, lifestyle tools, and accommodations that can help you thrive.
Is IV Hydration Therapy Safe?
IV therapy has many benefits to its users. There are no known risks involved with the body’s ability to absorb a high concentration of vitamins and nutrients. However, there are a few minor risks associated with the needle injection itself. Some of these risks and side-effects are comparable to those of having blood drawn for a lab test or having an IV administered during a hospital procedure.
As with any similar procedure, there is a small risk that a vein wall could be perforated or ruptured by the needle due to vascular fragility. This can result in fluid leakage to the surrounding area and may temporarily cause slight swelling or bruising around the site of the injection; you may also experience a slight burning sensation surrounding the needle, which will dissipate when the IV is moved to another vein. If you have small or hard-to-locate veins or have experienced any previous difficulty with other intravenous injections or getting blood drawn, you may not be a good candidate for IV Hydration Therapy.
The Benefits of ADHD Assessment and Diagnosis
Here’s what you gain from getting assessed for ADHD — explained in a way that’s easy to understand and appreciate:
- Clarity and Peace of Mind Knowing what’s going on — and why — helps take the confusion out of daily struggles like forgetfulness, procrastination, or trouble focusing.
- Access to Proper Support A diagnosis opens doors to treatments, coaching, or accommodations at work or school — things that can make life feel much more manageable.
- Improved Relationships Understanding how ADHD affects your emotions and interactions can help you communicate better and build healthier connections with others.
- Better Self-Esteem Once you know your brain just works differently (not incorrectly), it’s easier to be kinder to yourself and feel more confident moving forward.
- Treatment and Lifestyle Planning A full assessment leads to personalized care — whether it’s therapy, medication, behavior strategies, or all of the above.
The Assessment Focus Areas for ADHD
ADHD assessments at Allure Medical Aesthetics cover the core areas impacted by the condition:
- Inattention: Difficulty concentrating, staying organized, or following through on tasks
- Hyperactivity/Impulsivity: Restlessness, impulsive speech or actions, and difficulty staying still or patient
- Emotional Regulation: Frequent mood swings, frustration, or difficulty managing stress
- Executive Functioning: Challenges with memory, time management, prioritization, and planning
- Functional Impact: How these symptoms affect performance at work, school, home, or in relationships
Our approach looks beyond surface symptoms to assess how ADHD might be uniquely impacting your life — so we can tailor solutions that fit.
Who Are Good Candidates for ADHD Assessment and Diagnosis?
ADHD doesn’t just affect children — it often continues into adulthood, where it may show up as chronic disorganization, impulsive decision-making, difficulty concentrating, or emotional burnout. You may be a good candidate for an ADHD assessment if you’ve always felt like your brain works differently than others, you’ve struggled in school or work despite trying hard, or you find yourself overwhelmed by tasks others seem to handle easily. At Allure Medical Aesthetics, we welcome clients of all ages who are seeking answers — whether you’re a student, a busy parent, a professional, or someone simply trying to make sense of ongoing struggles with focus and follow-through.
How ADHD Assessments Are Performed at Allure Medical Aesthetics
Your ADHD assessment will begin with a comprehensive intake process, including questionnaires that explore your history, current symptoms, and how they affect your daily life. This is followed by a clinical evaluation with a licensed medical provider who specializes in ADHD and mental health.
We use evidence-based diagnostic tools and screening measures to gather insight into your cognitive and behavioral functioning. You’ll have a chance to speak openly about your experiences in a supportive, non-judgmental space. If a diagnosis is made, we’ll provide detailed recommendations, treatment options (including medication if appropriate), and help you plan the next steps toward support and success.
The entire process is discreet, compassionate, and tailored to your needs — whether this is your first time seeking help or part of a larger care journey.
