Dermaplaning
What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning an aesthetic skin treatment that involves removing dead skin cells and fine hair (vellous hair) from your face leaving the skin exfoliated, smooth and glowing! This is an anti-aging treatment safe for all skin types. One of the major benefits of Dermaplaning is the increase in effectiveness of your skin care products and facial treatments as they are able to penetrate deeper into the skin. It is especially good for people who have a lot of red in their skin as it does not break delicate capillaries. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes and can be combined with many other treatments including a HydraaFacial, Microneedling, and IPL or Medical Grade Facial or a Chemical Peel.

How is it Done?
Your face will be cleansed with one of our luxurious facial cleansers. We will then disinfect the skin with an alcohol wipe and begin gently exfoliate the skin with the sterile blade. We will then proceed to your next treatment or apply moisturizing cream.
Does the Hair Grow In Darker and Thicker?
Contrary to popular belief, the hair does not grow back darker and thicker. It will grow back in the same way it was before you had dermaplaning done.
Is this the Same as Shaving?
This is not the same as shaving. The blade used for dermaplaning is much sharper and the process involves removing the dead skin cells as well as the fine hair.
Is it Safe?
Dermaplaning is safe for most people, with little risk of side effects when it’s performed by a Medical Aesthetician or medical professional.
Is there any Down Time?
This is a non-invasive treatment only affecting the outermost layers of skin, therefore there is no recovery or down time.
How often Should I Have This Treatment?
Every one’s needs are individual, however, it is not recommended to do this treatment less than every 3 weeks. Therefore somewhere between every 3-6 weeks is ideal.
