Botox cost in Southampton and Saugeen Shores, featuring a clinic treatment and Botox, Dysport and Xeomin options.

By Lynda Quesenel, Founder of Allure Medical Asthtetics · Prices checked November 4, 2026

Botox cost in Southampton at Allure Medical Aesthetics is $9 per unit for Botox® and $8 per unit for Dysport® or Xeomin®.

Your total is the units your plan needs multiplied by that price, and you see it before anything is booked.

TL;DR

  • Price per unit: Botox® $9, Dysport® or Xeomin® $8.

  • Formula: total cost → units needed × price per unit.

  • Example: the Health Canada label lists 20 units for frown lines, so about $180 at $9 per unit.

  • Duration: effects tend to start in 5 to 14 days and often last 3 to 4 months, up to 6 for some people.

  • Extras: a 2-week touch-up is $8 per unit, and a lip flip is a flat $100.

Ever enjoyed a price quote that just says "it depends"?

Me neither. Here is why this guide gives you real numbers instead.

Allure is Nurse Practitioner-owned and has served Southampton, Saugeen Shores, Port Elgin, the Bruce Peninsula and Owen Sound since 2016.

Every price below comes from our Dysport, Botox and Xeomin page and treatment pricing page.

How Much Does Botox Cost Per Unit, and How Do You Estimate Your Total?

You pay per unit, so your total depends on how many units your plan needs.

How much is Botox per unit?

Botox® is $9 per unit and Dysport® or Xeomin® is $8 per unit at Allure.

  • A unit is the standard dose measure for a neuromodulator, a wrinkle-relaxing injectable.

  • Your injector sets the number of units after assessing your muscles and goals.

  • Our approach is a conservative, personalized dose, not a standard dose for everyone.

How do you estimate your total?

Use one simple formula.

→ Total cost = units needed × price per unit

Worked example: the Health Canada Botox Cosmetic label lists 20 units for frown lines (4 units at 5 sites). At $9 per unit, that is 20 × $9 = $180.

This table is arithmetic only. It is not a dose recommendation.

Pro tip: Ask for your total in dollars, not just units, before your treatment starts.

Why can't you compare Botox, Dysport and Xeomin units directly?

Units are not interchangeable between products.

  • 20 units of one product ≠ 20 units of another.

  • The same area may need a different unit count for each product.

  • Compare the quoted total for the same area and goal instead.

Unit math looks tricky. It gets simple once you compare totals.

Botox Cost by Treatment Area: Forehead, Frown Lines and Crow's Feet

At $9 per unit, the Health Canada label's reference doses put one upper-face area at roughly $72 to $216, and a lip flip is a flat $100.

Reference units come from the Health Canada label. They are a planning guide, not a quote.

Forehead lines

Horizontal lines that form when you lift your eyebrows.

  • Often planned together with frown lines so the brows stay balanced.

  • Dose tends to depend on forehead height and muscle strength.

  • Numbers: 8 to 24 reference units → about $72 to $216.

→ Best discussed if your lines show mostly when you raise your brows.

Frown lines ("11 lines")

Vertical lines between the eyebrows that deepen when you frown or squint.

  • A very common first area for new clients.

  • The label lists one standard reference dose for this area.

  • Numbers: 20 reference units → about $180.

→ Best discussed if people often ask whether you are upset. (You are not. You are just reading the fine print.)

Crow's feet

Fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes when you smile.

  • Treated on both sides.

  • The total depends on how many sites your injector uses.

  • Numbers: 2 to 6 units per site → about $18 to $54 per site.

→ Best discussed if your smile lines bother you more than your forehead.

Lip flip

A small amount of product along the upper lip edge.

  • Uses Botox® or Dysport®.

  • Numbers: a flat $100.

→ Best discussed if you want a subtle lip change without filler.

Lines that stay visible at rest may need a different approach. Ask whether dermal fillers are worth discussing, or read our lip filler cost guide.

What Affects Your Botox Cost?

The number of units drives your cost, and five factors decide that number.

  1. Facial anatomy → brow height and face shape change where and how much product goes.

  2. Muscle strength → stronger muscles tend to need more units.

  3. Number of areas → each added area adds units.

  4. Product chosen → $9 or $8 per unit, with different unit counts per product.

  5. Your goal → softer movement tends to use fewer units than a stronger effect.

Some foreheads are simply more expressive than others. We mean that kindly, and it is one reason doses differ.

We at Allure treat to enhance, never to change. That usually means starting conservatively and adjusting at the 2-week check.

Example: two friends book together for forehead lines. One has a short forehead and gentle movement. The other has strong brow muscles. Their totals can differ, even at the same per-unit price.

Botox vs Dysport vs Xeomin: Which Costs More?

Dysport® and Xeomin® have the lower unit price at $8, but the total for your plan is the number that matters.

What we evaluate on:

  • Total quoted cost for the same area and goal

  • Your past experience with each product

  • Your injector's clinical reasoning

  • The follow-up plan

Dysport®

Verdict: no product is cheaper by default. A lower unit price can still mean a similar total once unit counts differ.

Wait, You Might Be Thinking: "Will I Look Frozen?"

A conservative plan is designed to soften movement, not erase it.

  • Results vary, so no one can promise an exact look.

  • The 2-week follow-up exists for small adjustments.

  • You can ask for a lighter dose at your first visit.

Frozen is a choice. It is not the default.

Is Botox suitable for everyone?

No. Suitability is decided in a consultation with a qualified clinician.

These can affect whether treatment is right for you:

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding

  • Certain medications

  • Neuromuscular conditions

  • Active skin conditions or infection near the treatment area

  • Your wider medical history

What side effects should you know about?

Most side effects tend to be mild and temporary, but they do happen.

  • Redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising at injection sites

  • Headache

  • Less commonly, a heavy or drooping brow or eyelid

Your injector will explain the risks for your plan. The full list is in the Health Canada product monograph.

Botox in Southampton vs Driving to the City: What Does Travel Really Cost?

A city appointment adds travel time to every visit, and a 2-week follow-up means a second trip.

At 3 to 4 visits a year, that adds up fast.

  • Time: hours on the road instead of a short local drive.

  • Extra costs: fuel, parking and time away from work.

  • Follow-ups: a touch-up means repeating the whole trip.

  • Local options: the nearest comparable NP or RN-led clinics are about 35 to 40 minutes away in Owen Sound.

Allure is open Tuesdays until 7 PM and Saturdays 10 AM to 2 PM, so you can fit a visit around work.

Cottager angle: if you spend summers on Lake Huron, you can book before or after the season without planning a city trip.

Pro tip: Book your 2-week follow-up at the same time as your treatment, so it fits your calendar.

Does Insurance Cover Botox?

Cosmetic Botox is generally not covered, but some private insurers may cover medical uses.

  • Cosmetic: forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet are usually treated as elective.

  • Medical: some plans may cover migraines, severe hyperhidrosis or TMJ.

  • Paperwork: Allure can write pre-approval letters for medical treatment.

Check with your insurer before booking. Coverage depends on your plan, and we cannot promise reimbursement.

When Should You Book Botox Before a Holiday Event?

For holiday-event prep in November 2026, book about 4 weeks before your event.

Here is the logic:

→ 5 to 14 days for effects to appear + a 2-week follow-up = about 4 weeks

Weeks before your event

Cutting it close is possible. It just leaves no room for adjustments.

How should you prepare for your appointment?

  • List your medications and supplements.

  • Note any past neuromodulator treatments and how you liked them.

  • Tell your clinician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a neuromuscular condition.

Which Botox Option Fits Your Priority?

Start with your top priority, then bring that question to your consultation.

  • If cost per visit matters most, ask about a smaller starting plan and a total for each product.

  • If you want natural movement, ask about a conservative dose with a 2-week check.

  • If you clench your jaw or get frequent headaches, ask about medical Botox and a pre-approval letter.

  • If you want to spread the cost, ask about membership, rewards or financing.

  • If your lines show even at rest, ask about whether fillers or skin treatments may be discussed alongside.
